Went to sleep somewhere around 2am. Alarm went off at 5am. With nervous (but sleepy) excitement I gathered all my camera shiz, left the house for the beach. I unfortunately don’t shoot celestial objects too often (that’ll have to change), but got some pretty solid exposures of the eclipse/blood moon. Also found some fresh bobcat tracks, a crab made a home under my shoepod (that’s when I use my shoe as a tripod), and got to watch the sunrise.
Which made me realize 2 things. I really enjoy taking photographs in unusual circumstances. AND (it’s a big and) more importantly I really, really don’t enjoy manipulating images via photoshop. Too many options, too many results, too many distractions. More photographs, less editing.
Anywho, the eclipse to blood moon over water. Moderately successful.
